About
My name is Rob Cormack. I’m a teacher living and working at an international school in Beijing, China. My teaching career has taken me from the deserts of Saudi Arabia, to the snows of northern Canada, and to the rainforests of Indonesia. It’s been a great ride so far!
I love working with kids, teaching, and learning with technology. Though I love gadgets, that’s not why I teach with tech. I use technology when it helps me teach better and kids learn better.
I must apologize to E. M. Forster for using his title for the name of this blog. The reason for my action was because this is a place to share my views on the use of technology in the classroom. As it happens, my classroom also has a great view. I’m on the third floor and on a clear day my students and I have a great view of the mountains surrounding Beijing. I no longer have a great view. I’ve changed teaching positions. I’m now in a computer lab without an outside window grrr… I have to make a special point during the day to walk to the end of my hallway to take in the view of the mountains surrounding Beijing.
